About
We build software for businesses that never had any.
SaaS NG is a software company in Purcellville, Virginia, working with small and medium businesses across the United States. We started in 2026 with a narrow idea: the tools that let a fifty-person company run smoothly should be available to a six-person one, at a price a six-person company can justify.
Why we exist
The gap in the middle of the market.
Small businesses get offered two things. At one end, cheap off-the-shelf products that almost fit, and that you slowly bend your business around. At the other, custom development priced for companies with a procurement department.
Very little is built for the business in between: profitable, growing, running on a system that worked at eight people and is now visibly failing at twenty. That business does not need enterprise software. It needs one or two things built properly, for a price it can put a number against.
That is the whole of what we do.
Based in Purcellville, Virginia. Working with clients across the country, mostly by video call, occasionally in person.
How we work
Four commitments we will not negotiate.
A price before you commit
Every project gets a written scope and a fixed price before any work begins. Discovering the cost as the invoices arrive is the normal experience of buying software, and it should not be.
You own everything
The code, the accounts, the data, the domain. We do not build on a platform you can only leave by starting again, and we will hand over cleanly to whoever comes after us.
Plain language, always
You will never be asked to approve something you do not understand. If we cannot explain a technical decision in terms of what it does for the business, we have not thought it through properly.
We will talk you out of it
If an off-the-shelf product would serve you better, or the problem is a process rather than a piece of software, we will say so. Selling the wrong project is a bad way to earn a referral.
What we believe
Opinions we hold, and act on.
-
Software should remove work, not relocate it.
A system that saves the field team an hour by costing the office two has not helped anyone. We measure a project by the total hours it takes out of the week.
-
The people using it decide whether it worked.
Not the person who bought it. If the crew goes back to paper in month three, the project failed, whatever the specification said.
-
Most businesses need less software than they are sold.
Half of what gets asked for in a first meeting turns out to be unnecessary once the actual bottleneck is clear. A smaller, sharper build ships sooner and costs less.
-
Boring technology is a feature.
We build with well-understood tools that will still be maintained in five years, and that another developer could pick up without a handover document. Novelty is a cost you pay later.
